The Park

Meremac State Park has multiple ways to stay within the park. They have a large campground with all the amenities and hookups you would expect for a ‘modern’ campground experience.

Additionally, they also have beautiful cabins in the north section of the park as well as a hotel and conference center in the southern section of the park. I stayed in a room in their hotel for one night and found it to be very comfortable, clean, and pleasant. It is not fancy or new by any means, but it is a very pleasant and enjoyable stay with a large bathroom, a small refrigerator and microwave, and comfortable beds. Remember we’re supposed to be “camping” here! Okay, maybe not, but their campground is quite beautiful and there is a nice camp restaurant and shop to supply any needs or wants you may have - including plenty of food for cooking your own meals if you forgot to bring something with you.

While you’re there, be sure to check out the Meremac Caverns and ride along America’s Main Street, the Mother Road - Route 66!
